Haden halves the beast before taking it to the butchers cold room. He dropped Alice right there in the paddock one minute happy eating next .... No stress for her making the meat so much better. Kd pays her respects and thanks Alice for her work.
The other beasts are still there eating. Although Gerty the other Murry Grey Beast later pines for Alice finally settling down the next morning. Alice was only 18 months old so she wieghs there on the hook 160 Kgs which nets 120kgs of very healthy meat.
Jessica relaxing on a morning break from chores. We had a couple cancel at the last minute and Next day Jassica and Matthew drove in the drive.

Cigarette and sounds what more could you ask. As landscape gardeners back home they found the 4 hours work a bit of a breeze. We found it invaluable.
They didn't dig that by hand if that's what you think. They are using the lazer level to set the drain fall for the larger pond. Unannounced

Asoka spent 2 weeks with us, he now knows how to dig trenches.
Asoka also helped me finish the ground around the Surface water collection tank.
Asoka also house sat for us for a couple of days with a list of animals that need feeding, he said later that" it took a lot longer than you'd think".
We appreciated all his efforts but still worry that he got none of his "list" ticked off.
Kd got your name right the minute you left.

In the begining

Mud , mud glorious mud, we love it. Here is Pond 1 formed out of the ground , the banks are 700mm above the ground the water will be 1mtr or 3 feet deep.

This will be the drain in the bottom of the ponds. This is pond 2 with pond 1 in the background

This is the finished pond1 complete with Bird netting and a lot of work especially from Timmo our German Woofer who moved 6 tonnes of gravel into the bottoms of these ponds in two days Kd helped.

We purchased some one year old crayfish from another farm there are 260 in this box. As you can see some are bigger than others but at one year a good average of 18 grms.
